Feature Release 0.1.0

One min readWritten by: The MIMICK Team

The first build of MIMICK: adopt a bench, sign in from the CLI, and open a console on your hardware from anywhere.

What's new

  • Bench adoption. A guided setup wizard enrolls a new bench with your organization and gives it a readable name.
  • Browser sign-in for the CLI. mimick auth login signs you in through your browser, the same way you sign in to the web app.
  • Remote console. Open an interactive shell or serial console on a bench from your workstation. The session follows your terminal as you resize it.
  • Web app. See your organization's benches and users in one place.
  • Outbound-only connectivity. Benches dial out to MIMICK Cloud over an encrypted, mutually authenticated tunnel. Your lab network needs no inbound ports.
  • Audit log. Each organization keeps its own record of who did what.

Bug fixes

  • Sign-in and enrollment fixes for first-time setup.
  • Fixes for certificate renewal and for idle connections timing out.
  • Terminal resizing fixes in the console.
